Managed to get myself a couple of original Cherry Hinton mortgage documents - beautifully hand written, on vellum with stamps & seals. Love all the detail -
1887 Gray Clark of Cherry Hinton ..& Richard Wortley “that piece or parcel of land situate in the parish of Cherry Hinton aforesaid containing one acre and nineteen perches (more or less) Together with the messuage or dwelling house known as ‘Brington Cottage’ and all outbuildings including a wooden portable stable.....”
