I am a local historian, landscape archaeologist, researcher, and author based in Cambridge, UK. My work focuses on uncovering and interpreting the past through original historical research and archaeological analysis. I share many of my findings here, offering insights into the rich history of landscapes, communities, and individuals.

Historical research and renewal of a WWI memorial with production of an information board.
Development and street naming based on local history and historical research at Springstead Village, Cambridge (Bellway, Latimer) , Fisher’s Lane (Cambridge City Council and Hill’s), amongst other sites.
Historical research, story telling and costumed interpretation for events such as Paranormal Flag Fen.
Guided tours for groups and societies and as part of Open Cambridge and in collaboration with Resonance Cambridge.
Management Plans for city parks and green spaces in Cambridge - Cambridge City Council.
Research, design and production of historical interpretation boards - Local Authorities, Friends Groups & Societies.
Working in partnership with BBC learning - for history related programming.
Providing costumed story telling & entertainment for Whitby Abbey, Illuminated Abbey - English Heritage.
Historical Consultancy for Cherry Hinton Hall, Cambridgeshire - Cambridge City Council, Cambridge International School and the Friends of Cherry Hinton Hall.
Working with the film and entertainment industry and historical groups providing historical makeup artistry and hair dressing services along with costumed characters and historical interpretation.
Media Projects East - Mardling from coast to broad, working with local characters, historians and film-makers to find some of the strangest and most macabre tales to come out of the region. reworking the stories using modern digital tools such as film, animation and web design.
Teaching Landscape Archaeology & Local History for adult education, WEA, schools and colleges.
Lectures to a variety of groups on history & archaeology based subjects and is also available to give guided local history tours.
Contributing to broadcasts about local history on the radio and within other media.
I also write articles and books on a variety of subjects and contribute to the media on the subject of landscape and local history.
